Comments About This Piece
As with all of Virgil’s Carvings, The Bass and Turtle Carving is a one of a kind work of Art. Butternut is a beautiful natural brown wood when finished in a clear natural finish. Although the base and the fish in this carving is of the same wood there is a difference in color due to the way a sawn sanded and a carved and sanded piece of wood takes the finish.
